Fortem Technologies Provides DroneHunter Counter-Drone System to Major US Government Lab

PLEASANT GROVE - August 02, 2021 --

Fortem Technologies, leaders in airspace security and defense for detecting and defeating dangerous drones, today announced one of the largest government labs as a new customer. The lab purchased the SkyDome® System, consisting of TrueView® radar, SkyDome manager software, and DroneHunter®, an AI-driven drone that autonomously locks onto a target, nets it, and tows it to a safe deposit location. The system is being tested to protect sensitive sites from drone intrusion.

“This investment in Fortem validates the importance of incorporating a security system that can detect and defeat criminal drones, which other systems - using radio frequency signals – can neither detect nor defeat,” said Timothy Bean, CEO of Fortem Technologies. “Our AI-driven radar and DroneHunter will help ensure that critical government research and development continues unencumbered. We’re elated to work with a lab of this caliber.”

The Fortem SkyDome System consists of their low cost and small form factor TrueView radar. The company’s TrueView radar is the world’s most advanced, compact, high-performance radar system for detecting airborne objects. SkyDome System allows users to configure custom 3D zones with real-time intrusion detection to identify, monitor, classify, and to provide physical remediation of uncooperative drones with no collateral damage. The DroneHunter’s deep integration with TrueView radar makes it possible to autonomously detect, pursue, capture, and tow away any dangerous or malicious drones with no collateral damage.
