Fortem Technologies Presented at 2022 SOFIC
Fortem team recently attended the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference to highlight its counter-drone technologies
PLEASANT GROVE - June 01, 2022 --
May was a busy month for the Fortem Technologies team, who attended a number of national and international security conferences. Fortem’s new VP of Government Solutions, Matthew Quinn, recently returned from ACI’s National Congress on Counter UAS Technology where he gave a presentation on Fortem’s counter-UAS technology and its integration into protective security operations. Additionally, other members of the Fortem team attend the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa, Flo. and Milipol Qatar in Doha Qatar.
The Special Operations Forces Industry Conference, known as SOFIC, is the most important opportunity for members of the special operations forces community to gather, interact, and collaborate on the industry’s key challenges. It provides a space to deliver the most cutting-edge capabilities into the hands of special forces operators. Fortem was pleased to have an exhibit during this year’s conference, showcasing its DroneHunter and a new capability to defeat Group 1 and Group 2 UAVs using either its Fixed Site configuration or its new man-portable configuration which is now deployed in the Ukraine conflict. Also on display was a discreet portable configuration of the TrueView R20 radar, weighing less than 2kg including battery and secure radio link.
SOFIC provides a space for special operations and industry partners like Fortem to reexamine current policies and investments, improve existing defense capabilities, foster rapid capability development and deployment, and leverage relationships with other allies and partners. SOFIC features keynote sessions, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and industry deep dives. By attending, Fortem was able to provide support to special operations forces in their mission to combat credible forces and address the unique challenges threatening to erode U.S. national interests.
