Tokyo police add drone detectors to counterterrorism measures for 2020 Olympics

For the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Metropolitan Police Department are deploying drone detection systems over all its venues. There are 24 venues in total for the 2020 summer games. Drones flying is illegal in and around the venues and these detection systems are able to track and identify the drone and pilot. There will be drone mitigation implemented as well. A hunter drone will fly towards the suspicious drone and is able to capture it with a net.  Read more on sfchronicle.com→
